About studio eos
Studio Eos is the creative home of Kathleen Ostrem, a visual storyteller whose path has been anything but linear — and all the richer for it.
With a background in biochemistry research, a pivot into film school, and years of experience producing for PBS, Kathleen now brings a unique blend of curiosity, technical precision, and emotional depth to every project.
As a freelance filmmaker and photographer, she crafts imagery that feels both intentional and alive — rooted in natural light, honest connection, and a quiet reverence for the world around us.
Studio Eos specializes in creative weddings, portraiture, and narrative visuals that honor story, place, and presence.

I share select highlights from sessions and projects publicly, but my full gallery is available by request. If you're curious about a particular style, session type, or creative direction, feel free to reach out. I personally review each request to ensure the best fit and experience for us both.

I’m based in Bozeman, Montana — but I’m available for travel throughout Montana and beyond. Travel fees may apply depending on the location and session type.

Most sessions are led solo by me, Kathleen — but occasionally, my partner Carver assists with setup, sound, or lighting, especially for more technical or cinematic shoots. He's an experienced creative collaborator and helps ensure a smooth, seamless session.

My editing is warm, natural, and gently cinematic. I aim to preserve the atmosphere of the moment while highlighting light, texture, and emotion. Each image is individually edited — no batch presets or cookie-cutter filters.

For weddings and select sessions, I offer a simple two-part payment structure: a retainer to reserve your date, and the remaining balance due before your session or delivery. This keeps things straightforward while offering a bit of flexibility.
